Created through station improvements, the plaza by Hijiribashi Entrance is the new face of Ochanomizu between the city and the station building
Hijiribashi and Ochanomizubashi entrances are straight across from each other
Paths use the same materials inside and out, seamlessly linking the city and station
Overlooking the Kanda River and passing trains, an open terrace connects the city with the station
Distinctively shaped, stone-like benches on Ocha Terrace are moveable together with the indirect lighting beneath them
By the entrance to shops on the second floor, an open terrace connects the inside and outside
A walking map is posted at the OCHANOBA community space, where local information is also available
Some shops have exposed ceilings, and this sense of openness extends to the walkway, other shops, and the Kanda River
To lead people to shops on the second floor, the entrance staircase adopts the same tile design as the shops themselves
Outside, terraces organize the space in ways that reveal the liveliness of the station and people coming and going
